Yafea tribes reinforce transitional council militias in Abyan

LAHJ, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militias on Tuesday pushed armed reinforcements towards Zinjbar city, the capital of Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Hundreds of armed tribesmen from Yafea tribes in Lahj province arrived in Abyan province to reinforce the presence of the transitional council militia in Zinjbar, according to sources.

The sources explained that the tribal reinforcements come within the historical tribal conflict between Yafea and Abyan tribes, amid a state of tension between the UAE-backed militias, mostly from Yafea, and Hadi forces in Abyan.
