Planning Minister meets WFP official in Yemen

SANAA, Oct 20 (YPA) – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Aziz Al-Komaim met on Sunday with the Country Director for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Yemen Laurent Bukera.

During the meeting, the officials discussed a number of issues related to strengthening cooperation between Yemen and the WFP.

Al-Komaim stressed the government’s keenness on providing all facilities to arrive the humanitarian aid provided by the program to the Yemeni people.

The Minister confirmed the importance of supporting the project to encourage girls to enroll in elementary education.

For his part, the WFP official affirmed that the Programme would continue to provide all aspects of support available to Yemen.
