National Committee for Women calls for probe into torturing prisoners to death

SANAA, Oct. 20 (YPA) – The National Committee for Women on Saturday demanded that those involved in the crime of torturing three prisoners to death in Marib province to be investigated and that the perpetrators be punished.

The Committee urged, in a statement, the international community, United Nations agencies and human rights organizations to abandon silence and adopt a positive position that preserve their respect.

The statement said that the perpetrators of such heinous crime can not belong to the religion of Islam or represent the Yemeni society traditions.
