Militants attack UAE-backed STC militias in Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 18 (YPA) – Unidentified militants launched a fierce attack on militias of Southern Transitional Council (STC) backed UAE in Abyan province in late on Thursday, sources said.

The attack hit the militias in Zinjibar district, wounding the son of the STC-affiliated commander Abdulaziz al-Jafri, with two of his companions.

The sources added that the light and medium weapons were used in the attack.

The attack came after the UAE’s STC militias had pushed huge military reinforcements to the same district.
