Yemeni army foils Saudi-led mercenaries’ infiltration attempt in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 15  (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday foiled  an infiltration attempt carried out by mercenaries hired Saudi-led coalition in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the battle, which took place in al-Quhifah front of Maqbanh district, left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded..

He confirmed that the attackers suffered heavy casualties during their attempt.

On Monday, the Yemeni army carried out on Monday a wide-scale offensive against US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition’s mercenaries in the west of Wazayah junction front, the official said.

The mercenaries were inflicted heavy losses in lives and military equipment during attack on their sites from three tracks.
