Turkey’s Erdogan: We will continue our military operation despite Western threats
SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Western threats to impose sanctions and ban the export of arms to Ankara would not force it to stop its military operation against Kurdish fighters in Syria.
“After we launched our operation, we faced threats such as economic sanctions and arms embargoes,” Erdogan said in a televised address on Sunday, adding, ” those who think they can push Turkey back down through these threats are very wrong. ”
Germany announced the suspension of arms exports to Turkey in response to its aggression on northern Syria.
