Mostly 100,000 African refugees arrive in Yemen: UNHCR

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in a report on Saturday that mostly 100,000 African refugees have arrived in Yemen during the current year.

The report added that that the majority of new refugees hold Ethiopian nationality.

The refugees have caused doubling difficulties and challenges that face the Yemeni authorities, which are unable to protect coastline from smuggling or to provide the necessary support to those refugees.
