Sanaa warns of humanitarian catastrophe due to lack of oil products
SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The services sector in the capital Sanaa on Thursday warned of a humanitarian catastrophe due to the decline in the level of necessary services as a result of blocking the oil derivatives ships access by Saudi-led aggression coalition.
The lack of oil derivatives threatens the continuation of vital sectors in providing services, in the forefront of which are health, water, transport and public works and others, said Abdulfattah al-Sharafi, undersecretary of the services sector in the capital.
The prevention of oil ships entry is contrary to all international and humanitarian laws and United Nations treaties and conventions, he added.
Al-Sharafi held the United Nations responsible for the disastrous effects of the continued holding of oil ships, calling for the organization to play its role in releasing the held vessels.
