SANAA, Oct. 7 (YPA) – Minister of the Public Health and Population in the National Salvation Government Dr. Taha al-Mutawkil on Sunday said “death is threatening the lives of thousands of patients.”
“Saudi-led coalition deliberately kills the Yemeni people by holding of the oil derivatives ships,” he said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel on Sunday night.
Dr. al-Mutwakil explained that the operations and intensive care departments in a number of hospitals are about to close due to the shortage of oil derivatives and the prevention of their access to Hodeidah port.
He launched an urgent distress call to the international community, saying: “We appeal to the international community to intervene to find a solution to this humanitarian crisis.”
The coalition, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, has continued for nearly two months to hold 13 ships loaded with oil derivatives at sea and prevent them from entering the port of Hodeidah although the UN had inspected them and given them licenses.
