Yemen FM meets UN Under-Secretary-General

SANAA, Oct. 6 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met visiting UN Under-Secretary-General for Security and Safety Gilles Michaud and his delegation in the capital Sanaa.

The officials discussed aspects of coordination to support the UN agencies’ activities in the country.

Sharaf said the Yemeni National Salvation Government provides all support to the UN agencies to ensure continuing humanitarian and relief services to the Yemeni citizens.

For his part, Michaud stressed on the importance of the UN role in providing humanitarian and relief assistance to the Yemeni people and said the UN is seeking to expand its activities in Yemen.
