SANAA, Oct. 5 (YPA) – A prominent official in Ansarullah has welcomed  remarks made by Saudi Arabia ‘s vice  Minister of Defence,  Prince Khalid bin Salman on the initiative made by the President the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, saying, “it is a “positive sign”.

“What Prince Khaled expressed towards the Sana’a initiative is a positive sign and an addition to the voice of peace and reason,” Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein al-Azi said on Twitter

“We are pleased that we have been, and will continue to act from the position of the defender, not the aggressor, and all our fighting and struggle have been and will remain for peace, ” He added.

Hussein al-Azi concluded his comment on Prince Khalid bin Salman’s remarks on President Mahdi al-Mashat’s peace initiative: “What is most beautiful is what our first ones said: if you kill one day and shed its blood. She remembered the kinship and shed her tears.”

Saudi Arabia’s vice minister of defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, said on Thursday on Twitter the kingdom viewed the Houthi truce offer “positively”, echoing comments earlier this week by Saudi Crown Prince and de-facto ruler Muhammad bin Salman, also known as MbS, according to Reuters.

The Houthi proposal was a “positive step to push for more serious and active political dialogue … Today we open all initiatives for a political solution in Yemen. We hope this happens today rather than tomorrow,” MBS said in a CBS television interview.
