Footage show release of 350 war prisoners in Sanaa

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The Yemen Press Agency on Monday obtained footage showing the release of 350 war prisoners in the capital Sanaa. the just-released prisoners are on the exchange prisoner list agreed in the Stockholm Agreement.

Head of the Prisoners Affairs Committee Abdul Qader Al-Murtada said the release was supervised by the United Nations.

“We have presented to the United Nations a unilateral initiative to release 350 prisoners of war from the other party who were included in the Stockholm agreement lists,” Al-Murtada said in a news conference.

He stressed that this initiative will be implemented today under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Murtada called on the other side to do the same step.
