SANAA, Sept. 30 (Saba) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah on Monday met on Monday with UN Under-Secretary-General for Security and Safety Gilles Michaud to discuss enhancing relations and cooperation between Yemen and the United Nations organizations.
At the meeting, they also discussed aspects of coordination related to the security and safety of the UN humanitarian organizations and its programs operating in Yemen.
The Minister affirmed that the Government of Salvation exert efforts to provide all facilities for providing security for United Nations organizations work to ensure the continuation of providing humanitarian aid and relief services to citizens in various governorates.
Sharaf explained that the capital Sana’a is one of the safest cities, although it has been subjected to air strikes by the Saudi-led aggression coalition, which targeted civilians, places of residence and public facilities, including schools and hospitals, in a flagrant violation for the internal law.
For his part, the UN official stressed the importance of continuing in providing the humanitarian services by the UN organizations and expanding its activities all over Yemen.
