6.8 magnitude earthquake hits Chile
SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale has struck the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Chile, the US Geological Studies Foundation said.
The Foundation added that “there is little chance” of causing casualties or damage.
The epicenter of the quake, 66 km southwest of the coastal city of Constitucion, “where the majority of the population of this region lives in earthquake-resistant houses,” according to “AFP”, quoting the Foundation.
