Fiery night in Hajjah fronts causes heavy losses to coalition forces

HAJJAH, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Hajjah province fronts on Sunday witnessed a noisy fiery night as a result of missile and artillery bombardment and ground attacks of the Yemeni army on Saudi-led coalition forces’ positions, which left heavy losses in their ranks.

According to a military source, the army and popular committees fired four Zilzal-1 rockets and artillery shells at the coalition mercenaries’ gatherings south of Hiran front.

The four-rocket attack was the fifth on Sunday, as it was preceded by launching a Zilzal-1 missile and artillery shells at the coalition gatherings east of al-Nar mountain, which resulted in several dead and wounded in ranks of the coalition troops.

“The army units and committees carried out a raid on the positions of the coalition forces south of Hiran, leaving dead and wounded in their ranks,” the source said in a press statement.

He added that 16 coalition mercenaries were killed and wounded in sniping operations carried out by the army snipers in west and south of Haradh district and east of Muthallath Ahem, while the army’s engineering unit ambushed a military vehicle belonging to the mercenaries and destroyed it.
