JIZAN, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Several recruits from Shabwa province in ranks of Saudi-led coalition were killed on Jizan front in defense of territory of Saudi Arabia, which continues to strengthen its military presence in the provincial capital, Ataq city.
According to military sources, five mercenaries, all from Shabwa, affiliated to the so-called “special forces brigade” led by the mercenary Adel Ali bin Ali Hadi were killed on Sunday in an attack carried out by the Yemeni army and the popular committees on the frontier front of Jizan.
This comes at a time the Saudi forces reinforce their military presence in Shabwa, to control the oil-rich province by enabling Islah Party militias led by Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar to manage oil fields and hand them to Saudi Arabia.
