Security Director facilitates UAE-backed militias to take control of the Socotra Security Department

SOCOTRA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Media sources said that the director of security of the “Socotra Archipelago” reduced the guard of the building of the public security department in the province to five soldiers, local sources reported.

Many considered a step that reveals collusion with the militias of the UAE, which is preparing to take control of the security directorate.

The sources added that the director of security made guarding the building of the General Security Department only five soldiers, to ease the way for the Emiratis followers to overthrow the state institutions after the looting of the state generators belonging to the island with the quick movements.

The sources pointed out that this was done in agreement with the UAE military ruler on the island, Khalfan al-Mazroui “in preparation for the overthrow of the general security building by the the Southern Transitional Council militias”.

Last week, the security chief rebelled against orders from the Governor of Socotra to restore the generators looted by UAE militias.
The sources noted that Al-Rajjadi made a trip to Abu Dhabi a few weeks ago, and stayed for days there.
