Al-Awaleq tribes attack Saudi-backed forces in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 15 (YPA) – A group of tribesmen of al-Awaleq tribes in Mahhfad district of the occupied province of Abyan have set an airtight ambush targeting reinforcements of al-Islah militias from Shabwa governorate, local sources reported on Saturday.

According to local sources, the ambush was carried out by the tribes of Al-Abdullah bin Daha (al-Awaleg) loyal to the UAE, leaving a number of soldiers of the exiled “Hadi” forces backed by Saudi Arabia wounded, as well as the destruction of military vehicles.

The sources explained that during the ambush, the tribes seized a Hilux vehicle and a military Pickup.

Also in Qarn al-Aawda’a area of Shabwah, the UAE-backed militias attacked Islah party fighters and damaged a military pickup.
