UAE turned Balhaf facility into military barrack: Official in Hadi’s gov’t

SHABWA, Sept. 11 (YPA) – Governor of Shabwa province in Hadi’s government Mohammed bin Adio on Wednesday said that the UAE has turned Balhaf facility project of exporting liquefied gas into a military barrack.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera Channel, bin Adio said that the local authorities are working to stabilize the province through the redeployment of security and military forces.

He revealed that five billion riyals has been approved by Hadi’s government to support the infrastructure projects in the province.

Since the beginning of August, Shabwa province has witnessed military confrontations with the UAE-backed militias, where Hadi forces have been able to control the province.
