Yemeni army launches offensive on Saudi military sites in Najran

NAJRAN, Sept. 11 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on late on Tuesday carried out an offensive on positions of Saudi army soldiers and mercenaries in Najran region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, dozens of Saudi-led mercenaries were killed and wounded in the battle, which took place in Taybat Al-Asma in Ajasher Desert.

Meanwhile, the artillery unit targeted gatherings of Saudi-led recruits with many missiles, causing heavy casualties on their ranks.

The Yemeni army, backed by the Popular Committees, have recently stepped up their attacks against the Saudi army and its mercenaries on several border fronts, in retaliation to its war crimes against innocent civilians.
