Wheat harvest season launched in Saada

SAADA, April 19 (YPA) – The Agriculture and Irrigation Office and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) on Thursday launched in Saada province the wheat crop harvest for the agricultural season 2017-2018.

A quantity of seeds estimated at 40 tons will be distributed at the beginning of agricultural season to one thousand farmers in the districts of Saada, Sahar, Safra, Mzaj and Kitaf.

In the inauguration ceremony, Saada Governor, Mohammed Awad, said that the launching of weat harvest aims to realize self-sufficiency and comes within the framework of the project ” A hand builds the country and the other protects it”.
