SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – The Public Prosecution on Tuesday referred 35 defendants from the parliament members for trial on charges of harming the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen, and communicating with foreign countries, namely Saudi Arabia and the countries allying with it in the aggression against Yemen.
A judicial source in the Public Prosecution said that these procedures came after lifting of the parliamentary immunity from the 35 defendants, in accordance with legal procedures.
The Public Prosecution attributed to the defendants the above-mentioned charges after they held a session under the name of the House of Representatives in Hadramout province under the umbrella of the Saudi-UAE occupation forces, the source explained.
