Southern leader: Coalition pushes sons of south toward death in borders
SANAA, April 19 (YPA) – The southern recruits, who had been transferred to Saudi Arabia for training were taken to a “carnage” like herds towards Saada province, said Raed al-Jahafi, a leading member in the southern movement.
In a statement to southern media, al-Jahafi referred that a large number of the southern recruits were killed and wounded in the border battles with the Yemeni army forces over the past months.
Hundreds of southern soldiers hired by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were transferred for training in a Saudi camp in Jizan region.
Some of those recruits were detained after they rejected Saudi orders to fight in the border battles, while some others were able to escape.
Since the beginning of the current year, southern voices raised rejecting the participation of the southern soldiers in the border battles, which serve the occupation forces’ plans aiming to split Yemen and loot its wealth.
