Palestinian injured in confrontations with Israeli enemy in West Bank
SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – A Palestinian was seriously wounded on Monday after clashes with Israeli forces north of Al-Bireh in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement the Palestinian was seriously wounded by live bullets in the chest and abdomen.
Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and enemy forces near the settlement of Beit El, north of Al-Bireh, following a march condemning the martyrdom of a Palestinian detainee, on Sunday, in enemy prisons, according to witnesses.
Earlier on Monday, witnesses reported that the Israeli army fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse a march organized by students of Birzeit University (non-governmental), in protest against the killing of the detainee Bassam Sayeh (47 years).
