Bomb attack targets Emirati officers in Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 8 (YPA) – An Emirati armored vehicle carrying armed men believed to be Emirati officer and militants of the Southern Transitional Council was targeted on Sunday by an improvised explosive device in Shabwa province, southeast Yemen.

The Emirati armored vehicle was coming from al-Alam camp when it was blown up by an improvised explosive device in al-Dhelah area of Habban district in Shabwa, sources told Yemen Press Agency correspondent in the province.

Ambulances rushed to transport the dead and wounded to the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout province, the sources added.

On Saturday, local sources revealed the arrival of ten Emirati armored vehicles carrying a number of Emirati officers to Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, amid a widespread deployment of Hadi’s forces.
