IBB, Sept. 6 (YPA) – The General Authority for Standardization and Metrology in Ibb has Thursday destroyed about 31 tons of food and 63.000 cans of expired and spoiled tuna, which were stored in one of the WFP organizations’ stores in the province.

The deputy governor of Ibb province, Qasim Almsawi, said that this quantity was destroyed today for being rotten as a result of long storage and not being distributed to citizens.

“People that are not targeted by the aerial aggression, are poisoned by rotten food given by organizations,” he added.

Almsawi stressed that the local authority and security services will not tolerate anything that threats the lives of citizens, and that organizations must be aware of that.

In turn, the Ibb security director, Brigadier General Mohammed al-Hamzi, said that “out citizen’s lives are not a game in the hands of organizations or traders” ,pointing out that the security services will never compromise in protecting the food security of citizens.

Al-Hamzi also praised the efforts exerted in controlling these quantities and tons of foodstuffs that have been destroyed by the Authority for Standardization and Metrology, with the cooperation of the relevant authorities.
