Update: Yemeni army liberates several military sites in Jawf

JAWF, Sept. 5 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces backed by popular committees on Thursday were able to liberate several military sites in the Hashfa Mountains in Jawf province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, units of the army launched an attack against sites of Saudi-led mercenaries in Astor front in the western part of Yatamah area, inflicting heavy casualties on their ranks.

Meanwhile, the artillery unit bombed the sites and gatherings of the mercenaries in the same areas, which doubles the number of casualties and forced the rest of them to flee their sites.

Several of Saudi-led mercenaries were killed and wounded when two improvised explosive devices went off and damaged a Saudi military in the same front, the official added.

Earlier in the day, The Yemen army carried out two offensives against sites of the Saudi-led mercenaries in Sabrain and Aqaba fronts in Khub-washaef district,leaving deaths and injures in their ranks.
