SANAA, Sept. 3 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Tuesday discussed with UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Lise Grande the humanitarian and economic situation in Yemen in light of the continued aggression and siege.
They dealt with aspects related to facilitating the United Nations activities and reviewed the projects implemented by the United Nations Development Program and the assistance provided to the displaced and those affected by Saudi-led aggression war in several provinces.
Sharaf reiterated his ministry’s commitment to provide all facilities to the relief and humanitarian offices operating in Yemen in order to improve the humanitarian situation and end the siege and aggression.
For her part, Grande confirmed that the United Nations is keen to improve the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
