Dozens of prisoners, including terrorists fled from central prison of Zinjibar

ABYAN,Aug. 31 (YPA) – Dozens of prisoners at Zinjibar’s central prison of Abyan province, southern Yemen managed to escape on Saturday after the prison was left unguarded, where prisoners took advantage of security chaos and escaped, local source reported.

Sources in the UAE-backed militias (security belt forces) confirmed that the prisoners who escaped from the central prison in Zinjibar have criminal cases and others involved in belonging to ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorist organizations.

The sources said that after a long time, a group of UAE-backed separatist militias led by Abdulaziz al-Shamsi (Abu Musab) and Wajdi al-Mahrouq and al-Harash Ahmed Ali managed to control the situation and keep the rest of the prisoners and prison from looting.

A wave of terrorist attacks are expected to hit Zinjibar district which could be carried out by terrorists who managed to escape from the central prison, while terrorist operations could affect the rest of the provinces controlled by the southern transitional Council and its forces.
