Sources: Saudi authorities ordered a Yemeni broadcaster to carry out “presidential” mission instead of Hadi

SANAA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Saudi authorities have ordered the broadcaster of the Riyadh-based Yemen TV station to write the statement, which was aired on Thursday evening without referring to the outgoing president.

According to sources close to the exiled Hadi’s government, broadcaster Jamil Eazalidin has written the statement and assigned one of his broadcasters to Yemen TV, which broadcasts from Riyadh, at the order of the Saudi authorities.

The sources told the Yemen Press Agency that Hadi was not aware of the statement, and was surprised but remained silent after knowing that it was the Saudi authorities that commissioned Jamil Eazalidin to write the “presidential” statement and broadcast it.

The alleged statement was shaky and the Yemeni street loyal to Hadi was disappointed and lost confidence, and this was reflected in the hundreds of tweets they posted on social media.

In his alleged statement, Hadi called on Saudi Arabia to stop what he described as blatant UAE intervention in the south through supporting separatists fighting for control of the occupied province of Aden.

The sources pointed out that the real reasons behind Saudi commissioning Ezzedine to write the statement and broadcast it instead of Hadi, is to ensure that the details of the statement are as desired by Riyadh, so as to justify its silence on the UAE bombing on Hadi forces, and to absorb the angry reaction in the Yemeni street loyal to Hadi.

Dozens of activists deemed Hadi’s failure to read the statement directly or by recording it, which was a matter of uncertainty, especially as Events require that.

The UAE occupation fighter jets launched heavy air strikes on Hadi’s forces last Thursday, killing and wounding 300 of them.
