Transitional Council’s militias declare extreme state of emergency in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias on Wednesday night declared a state of emergency for 72 hours in the occupied city of Aden, southern Yemen.

In a statement issued late this night, the transitional council’s militias called on those involved in Aden’s events to surrender themselves immediately in order to avoid harsh military sentences that may be up to the death penalty.

This announcement follows violent confrontations between the council’s militias and Saudi-backed Hadi’s forces, which led to the latter’s takeover of the occupied city of Aden.
