Govt is keen to address salaries stoppage problem: PM

SANAA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Wednesday said that the Salvation Government is keen to fulfill its commitments in Sweden Agreements, especially the economic file, as part of its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the State employees.

During his meeting with Secretary General of Yemen Workers Union Ali Bamahison, Dr. bin Habtoor referred to the unilateral steps taken by the national party with regard to the economic file, the most important of which is the opening of an account at the Central Bank’s branch in Hodeidah province to deposit revenues of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa ports, which would be allocated for the inevitable obliges, topped by the payment of the state employees’ salaries.

He noted that the other party has not fulfilled its obligations and sought continuously to impede the agreement.

In this regard, the prime minister affirmed that his government continued to communicate with the United Nations to oblige the other party to implement the Sweden agreement, especially those points with positive effects on citizens’ living.
