Judicial, Medical Councils discuss common issues

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutwakil and the Attorney General Judge Nabil Al-Azzani on Tuesday met with Chairman of the Supreme Medical Council Dr. Mujahed Ali Maasar.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the judicial institution and the medical council, the most important of which is the protection of patient, doctor and medical facility as well as the protection of the medicine profession from intruders.

The meeting stressed the need to take the necessary procedures during the submission of complaints about any failure or medical negligence to in order preserve all legal rights of the affected and to encourage doctors and health workers in providing a distinguished medical service.

It was agreed to hold a workshop involving a number of prosecutors and courts with cadres from the Supreme Medical Council to come up with appropriate solutions in this regard.
