PM discusses with French ACTED humanitarian activities in Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Monday met with CEO of the French Organization for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) Marie-Pierre Caley, who is currently visiting Yemen to get acquainted with the humanitarian situation.

The discussed the organization’s activities in Yemen and its humanitarian interventions during the current period of aggression and siege that the Yemeni people are going through.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts exerted by the French organization to mitigate the effects of the Saudi-Emirati aggression and blockade, calling on the organization for increasing the volume of its activities and assistance. He confirmed that the Salvation government is keen to address all various difficulties facing the organization.

For her part, Caley explained that ACTED is currently working in a number of provinces through its six hundred employees, mostly from local staff. She confirmed the organization’s keenness to expand the size of its activity and continue to contribute to alleviate the suffering of the targeted groups.
