Revolutionary Guards conduct military exercises in northwestern Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Monday announced about conducting maneuvers in the northwest of the West Azerbaijan province.

“The exercises, dubbed “Al-Ghadeer”, were conducted in the border heights of Buralan Mako region in the West Azerbaijan province,” said the Revolutionary Guard Corps in a statement.

The maneuvers, according to the statement, aimed at increasing the readiness of the Iranian border guards and fighters, in order to “destroy the remaining whereabouts of the anti-revolution terrorist groups supported by global arrogance powers and to purge the northwestern areas of the armed villains.”
