FM reviews humanitarian challenges with French ACTED delegation

SANAA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met with French ACTED organization’s delegation visiting Yemen, headed by Co-founder and CEO of ACTED Marie-Pierre Caley  and Deputy CEO of ACTED Frédéric de Saint-Sernin.

During the meeting, they reviewed the humanitarian and economic challenges caused by Saudi-led coalition aggression in Yemen and the arbitrary actions taken by the aggression countries against the Yemeni people.

The meeting touched on the necessity of redoubling humanitarian efforts to help the internally displaced people and those affected by the aggression, especially in remote areas, as well as the political efforts exerted by the national authorities in Sanaa to reach a political settlement and achieve peace.

Sharaf welcomed the organization delegation, affirming the authorities’ full readiness to cooperate with the organization and provide all facilities for the success of its tasks and activities.

For her part, Caley said that ACTET organization would continue to exert all efforts aimed at alleviating human suffering, emphasizing that the only way out of the Yemeni crisis is to achieve a peaceful political solution.
