SANAA, Aug. 23 (YPA) – Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC)’s employees after prayers of the 20th Friday staged a protest in front of the United Nations office in the capital Sanaa titled “the UN Condoning towards the holding of oil ships is a crime.”
The protesters issued a statement, in which they called on the United Nations not to be a tool that contributes to the siege of Yemeni people by condoning the continual holding of oil vessels by Saudi-led aggression coalition.
The statement called on the international organization to end the mechanism of verification and inspection that impedes the arrival of oil derivatives to the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa.
In their statement, the company’s employees reiterated the call for lifting the ban on Sanaa International Airport and Ras Issa port and neutralizing the economy from military attacks.
