UAE-backed militias take full control of Ataq city in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The Southern Transitional Council militias took control over the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwah province, after the exiled Hadi’s forces agreed to hand the city over, Southern media sources reported on Thursday

According to the media sources, the sources said that the “Shabwani Elite Forces” funded by The UAE occupation forces , the forces of the 21st Brigade and the special forces of the exiled Hadi have reached an agreement that stated the withdrawal of the forces of the 21st Brigade Mika and special security forces from the city of Ataq to the city of Bayhan.

The sources pointed out that the agreement, which was sponsored by a tribal, guaranteed the removal of any military and security developments made during the past period to confront elite militias, and the exclusion of any northern elements from all formations and security and military institutions in the capital Ataq.

The agreement, which was sponsored by the local authority, also stipulated that the security file in the capital would be taken over by the public security forces and Shabwani Elite militias.
