Yemeni army repels Saudi attack in Asir

ASIR, Aug. 10 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Saturday repelled an infiltration attempt carried out by mercenaries hired by Saudi-led coalition in Asir, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army force foiled the mercenaries’ attacks on army’s positions in front of Alib crossing, inflicting on them heavy casualties.

On Friday, dozens of Saudi-led mercenaries were killed and wounded during a counterattack launched by the Yemeni army and popular committees in the same area.
