ADEN, Aug. 5 (YPA) – A senior commander loyal to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) survived on Monday an assassination attempt in Yemen’s southern province of Aden, according to sources.
The sources said the military commander Abdul Nasser al-Yafai, the head of the so-called of the council of the southern resistance, was targeted in an explosive device in Bair Ahmed area.
The operation came in synchronize with clashes carried out by Saudi-backed Islah party (Muslim Brotherhood) militias and the UAE-supported Tarak Afash’s militants in the same area.
