US military jet crashes in California desert
SANAA, Aug. 1 (YPA) – A US F/A-18E Hornet jet crashed on Wednesday in the California desert.
According to Reuters, military officials said the plane crashed into the California desert near an air force base while the fate of the pilot was unclear.
“The F-A-18E Super Hornet crashed at about 1 pm EDT,” said Lieutenant-General Lydia Bock, public relations officer for the Joint Strike Fighter program in a statement.
The cause of the accident near the valley of death was under investigation, she said.
