Workshop on food security concluded in Sanaa

SANAA, July 25 (YPA) – A training workshop on Food Security, Nutrition, Livelihoods and Market Information for the Food Security Information Coordination Units in the provinces was concluded on Thursday in the capital Sanaa.

The five-day workshop, organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) within the framework of an EU-funded program, aimed at strengthening the capacities of technical staff in analyzing data and developing plans and programs to assist in appropriate interventions and decision-making in the food security field.

At the opening of the workshop, 50 participants from the provinces and the concern bodies emphasized the importance of training in improving and enhancing their capacities and knowledge in basic concepts and indicators of food security, nutrition and livelihoods.
