SANAA, July 25 (YPA) – Ansaruallah movement on Wednesday evening revealed the fate of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh’s body, confirming that it was no longer in the dead refrigerator and did not stay there long.
Ansaruallah’s spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam denied in a televised statement Wednesday evening that they refused to hand over the body of Saleh to his family, asserting that the body was handed over at the time.
Asked about why Saleh’s body was not handed over to his family, during an interview with “Russia Today” TV channel, Abdulsalam said that is not true. He confirmed that “the body was buried in the presence of his sons in a well-known cemetery.”
Abdulsalam rejected that Ansaruallah be accused of killing Saleh, describing what had happened as a “sedition.”
“Unfortunately, what happened had happened, we did not have the will or desire to do so, but he is a murderer and was killed away from all circumstances,” the spokesman said.
He attributed the stirring of Saleh’s body as problematic issue to the Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) activists, who he said they have been provoking the General People’s Congress (GPC) supporters since December 2017 by saying “they not even dare to demand the burial of body of their party leader.”
