Update: Army attacks 3 Saudi military sites in Asir

 ASIR, July 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Wednesday night launched an offensive on three sites of the Saudi army and its mercenaries in west of Majaza area in Asir region,  a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The artillery and snipping units of the Yemeni army participated in the operation, which resulted in dozens of dead and wounded in ranks of the Saudi army and mercenaries, the official explained. 

This came after the Yemeni army and popular committees repelled an infiltration attempt carried out by the Saudi army mercenaries towards Abwab al-Hadid in the same region.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni army’s snipers shot dead two mercenaries of the Saudi army in Majaza area, while the engineering unit set two ambushes for the Saudi army mercenaries off Ali crossing in Asir, killing and injuring several of them.

On Tuesday, the army units and committees foiled two infiltration attempts by the Saudi army mercenaries towards Abwab al-Hadid.
