Shura Council condemns destroying Palestinian homes in al-Quds

SANAA, July 24 (YPA) – The Shura Council on Wednesday strongly condemned the crime of destroying Palestinians’ homes by Israeli occupation forces in Wadi al Hummus area of Sur Baher neighborhood, east of al-Quds city, which is the largest demolition operation since 1967.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Shura Council called on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to act urgently and to condemn Israel’s arbitrary and illegal policies.

“This act is a flagrant violation of international law and part of the deliberate forced displacement of Palestinians in a bid to seize the land and history in al-Quds,” the statement said.

The Council renewed its call for a united Arab and Islamic position that rejects the Judaization of al-Quds city, and called on the Palestinian factions to end the division and to give priority to the Palestinian national interests.
