UAE-backed council directs threat to fugitive Hadi’s government

ADEN, July 24 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates-backed southern transitional council (STC) has threatened to confront and prevent a Seiyun city meeting for parliaments members loyal to the exiled Hadi’s government in the southern provinces.

Ahmed Ben Brik, a member of the Southern Transitional Council and president of the so-called Southern National Assembly, confirmed during a graduation ceremony of a new batch of UAE-backed militias in the City of Aden, refusing to hold any session of the members of Seiyun Council in the southern provinces, declaring strong resistance to this.

He added that meeting of Seiyun in the southern provinces is a provocation to them, which the pro-UAE Transitional Council rejects and will not allow.

The Hadi’s government officials accused the UAE of obstructing parliamentary sessions in a number of southern provinces, and last week’s visit of the exiled Hadi’s leaders have failed to persuade the UAE regime to allow a meeting to be held in any southern province.

The UAE occupation militias control all the southern provinces through its the so-called Southern Transitional Council militias.
