UAE sends more military reinforcements to Yemen’s Socotra

SOCOTRA, July 23 (YPA) – New military reinforcements of the United Arab Emirates have arrived in the Yemeni province of Socotra archipelago, sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources explained that the UAE sent 27 police cars along with dozens of Emirati soldiers under the pretext of supporting the security services loyal to it in the archipelago.

Director of the so-called public security in Socotra Brigadier Ali Ahmed al-Rajdahi loyal to Hadi’s government was on a visit to the UAE capital Abu Dhabi for several days for common interests serving the UAE occupation, the sources added.

The UAE had earlier transferred more than 400 conscripts along with various weapons to and from Socotra in order to reduce the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood represented by Hadi’s government – in their words – in the province.
