Antonio Guterres: Yemen crisis can only resolved by dialogue, political solution

SANAA, April.13 (YPA) – The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres reiterated the call to resolve the “Yemeni crisis” through dialogue and political solution.

During his speech at an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss the repercussions of the situation in Syria, saying that Syria is witnessing proxy wars,UN  Secretary-General António Guterres said on Friday.

The world has come back to live up to the Cold War climate in reference to the American escalation attempt against Syria, against the backdrop of U.S. accusations against the Syrian government using a chemical weapon in the Syrian city of DOMA, he added.

The United States has worked to undermine security and world peace through its unilateral actions outside the Security Council and international law since Iraq’s invasion in 2003.

In addition, the Americans have ignited wars in the Arab region, such as the US-backed guerrilla war against Syria and the Saudi-led coalition war against Yemen.
