Army attacks Saudi army mercenaries sites in Asir

ASIR, July 19 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Friday launched an offensive on Saudi army mercenaries’ positions in the frontier Asir front, inflicting heavy losses on them, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army and committees attacked three sites of the Saudi army mercenaries in the western Majaza, which left many casualties in ranks of the mercenaries, the official said.

Meanwhile, the army and committees repelled an infiltration attempt of the mercenaries off Abwab al-Hadid area in the same front, killing and injuring many of them and destroying military gear.

On Thursday, many mercenaries were killed and wounded in rocketry and artillery bombardment targeted them during repelling infiltration attempts in Asir.
