YSMO destroys big amount of rotten imported meat

SANAA, July 17 (YPA) – Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) on Wednesday destroyed an amount of 2,277 cartons of rotten imported minced meat.

The destruction process was carried out after the results of laboratory tests proved that this quantity of imported minced buffalo meat violates the approved specifications and contains substances harmful to human health, the organization said on its Facebook page.

The laboratory results revealed that the meat contain “Salmonella bacteria” and emit unpleasant odors, the organization added.
